High School Senior Portraits

As you can see from the photos some are done outside on location and others are in studio or at a personal residence. You pick the location and theme of your photo shoot. I like to do several background variations and I suggest you bring several clothing changes for variety. The photo session will take between 1-1.5 hours. I don't place a time limit but usually that is more then enough time to collect a lot of nice shots with various backgrounds,

After the photo shoot I like to meet at my studio and look at the images with you. We can pick out the better photos from all that were taken. This will be way too many to print so I give you a Proof CD to take home and review. These are not re-touch or adjusted but can be used on social media sites and web sites. After you make your final picks those selected will be re-touched, cropped and printed. I include 5x7, 8x10 and wallet size in my packages. Package price link is on the the side of the page.

Wall size image are also available on canvas, metallic stock, acrylic, metal, art paper and traditional photo stock.

Photographs usually show a lot more detail than our eyes see at a casual glance. Facial lines and blemishes are exaggerated and appear more pronounced than they do in real life. Because camera angles and lens selection can make a person appear disproportionate and possibly heavier than he or she really is, knowledge of camera position, light and lens selection is critical from both a technical aspect and an artistic one. A balance of these two factors is what turns a photo from a snapshot into a professional portrait.

I re-touch every aspect of the final images you receive. This includes adjusting color, contrast ,shadows, background details, clothing, image depth and last but not least smoothing the skin for a enhanced but natural look.

I recommend professional make-up for your portrait session. If you use an artist from my list I will guarantee a re-shoot if you are not happy with the results. Photography make-up is very different than everyday make-up and if you allow them to their job you will be happy with the results.

All final images included a release, granting you rights for personal use. (i.e. cards, , web site use, social media etc.) No time limit is placed on this so you may use the images without future renewal or payment.
