This is your traditional head and shoulders look. Usually a darker background is used which will focus the attention on the subject. Dark gray, brown, blue are the most asked for colors. White is also also a popular choice and is good if you want to mix the traditional and contemporary look.

For this style portrait it does matter what you wear. In my opinion long sleeve are a must. Second in line would be a V style neck. This can be on a jacket or shirt. The V will help elongate you in the photo while a round neck makes you draws your eye wide. A round neck is fine under a jacket.If you are in sales or want to be noticed then a brighter color is best. While black is common it does not grab attention in an ad format. Solid colors are usually a safe choice but feel free to bring a few options as some prints look great in front of the camera.

I also include a reduced resolution for easy upload to Face book. You take the finished image CD with you at the end of the session.
