Actor & Model Photography How Many Looks Do I Need? In most cases showing one amazing head shot and one full length image is all you need to start for both actors and models Actors must have a good head shot and it would help to have some backup photos. By backup I mean a head shots with a serious look, another with a smile and full length. You will collect more diverse images from assignments to complete your portfolio. Follow this link for full length images for model portfolio. Do I Need Hair & Make-up? I always recommend professional make-up for your photo session if you are over 15 or want to look older. If you use an make-up artist from my list I will guarantee a re-shoot |
if you are not happy with the make-up or hair style. Photography make-up is very different than everyday make-up and if you allow my recommended artist to their job, I guarantee you will be happy with the results. After The Photo Session All images are previewed after the photo session. They are re-touched, adjusted and delivered at that time on CD. I also include one 8x10 print of each of the final looks selected. This copy has one with the name and one without. Additional prints are available. The balance of the non-adjusted images are also available. See the price list for details. Sessions available in studio or on location. Marketing Material Low cost Comp cards are available and layout of the card is included with your comp card order. I can also order lower cost digital printed 8x10 head shots to send agents. Much less costly than photo prints when you need 50-100 copies. Of course you can print a small quantity at home using a nice weight photo paper and any inkjet printer with a photo mode. Good quality, low price luster or pearl photo paper, pre cut to 8x10 is available from the Red River paper company website for about half the local price. Sams Club has a low cost double sided matte photo paper in the 8.5x11"size. Use this double sided stock to print the photo on one side and the resume on back. It comes in a box of 200 sheets under the Royal Bright brand for about $20.00. Photo Release Since photography is considered a form of art, all images are property of the photographer and to be used legally require a photo release. All final images include a release, granting you rights for marketing purposes. (i.e. prints, business cards, advertisements, web site use, social media etc.) No time limit is placed on this so you may use the images without future renewal or payment. What this means is you pay a flat fee and can make prints for personal or business use and use for marketing until you feel it is time to update the photo. Children Yes, I photograph children but usually don't post any photos under 16 years old on my web site. I may make a special page for children at a future time.
